ABOUT US

origin story

Restored Sole began with a true passion for sneakers that started in the early to mid 90's. Every NBA season was always a 'sneaker-watch' to see what latest kicks players were wearing on the court, and what new designs and tech were being featured. Fast-forward to 2019, Restored Sole owner, Jason Baez, was on a journey to reclaim some of his favorite shoes by searching Ebay for pairs that either needed to be cleaned up or touched-up. Shortly after he began restoring shoes for himself and his son, he would find other family members and friends requesting cleanings and restoration on their shoes as well.

With the encouragement of those same family members and friends, Restored Sole was birthed from a passion for restoration, and a desire to help others retain or regain value by restoring and maintaining their sneakers.

Our Approach

We care about your sneakers just as much as you do, which is why we take the utmost care in assessing and restoring your shoes back to their original form. Unlike solutions that promote using one product for your entire shoe which can over-saturate or cause damage, we utilize the advantages of treating specific materials with the appropriate products, tools, and methods to maximize results. What does this mean? We won't:

Too many shoes end up in the garbage or in dumps and landfills every year. 300 million pairs to be exact. Not only do we want to reduce that number by helping to prevent shoes being thrown away too soon, we also want our impact to be a positive one on the environment. We do this by making and using our very own in-house cleaning product, which also reacts with UV light to reverse the effects of oxidation (the yellowing of clear/translucent and white rubber soles). This allows us to achieve excellent results without having to use sole sauces, which can be harmful to shoes and/or create traction loss of the soles.
